Challenge
Morgen was a startup business needing the basics, first of which being an accounting system. They needed to be set up enough with the
fundamental systems to ensure they could do their accounting themselves without needing to lean entirely on a bookkeeper. This way they
could minimise costs in the beginning. Coupled with an accounting system they needed a payment platform and an expenses platform to minimise
time spent on their financial affairs.
Both Steve and Jess are electricians by trade with no accounting knowledge, so we needed to ensure that the systems were not too complex.
They also needed to be cost-effective as they were just starting out in business. As they are located in Central Queensland, primarily
working in the field for sometimes 20-hour days, in-house meetings and training sessions were not an option.

Solution
Taking into consideration the needs of Jess and Steve, we provided them with a basic stack of systems including Xero (accounting),
ReceiptBank (expenses) and Pinch Payments (payment platform). We supplied adequate training in online sessions on how to invoice a
customer correctly and in a timely manner within Xero.
Results
The implementation of Xero, allows for a greater ability to integrate with other core business systems on the market such as ReceiptBank and
Pinch Payments. These three systems link seamlessly to provide Morgen with the ease of being able to keep on top of their bookkeeping and
customer payments. ReceiptBank scans and stores their receipt data securely in the cloud. Pinch Payments allow them to receive credit card
and bank account payments with the extra option to auto-charge invoices. Jess and Steve can utilise these three systems from anywhere,
anytime that is required; including out in the field.
